Biography
Professor Emeritus of Environmental Science and Policy, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Doug Crawford-Brown’s interests lie broadly at the intersection of science, public policy and philosophy. This involves the development of advanced scientific models to estimate the risks and other environmental consequences of material and energy use; the application of these models in risk-based environmental and economic decisions; and analysis of the quality of science forming the evidence base for policy. These are integrated primarily into work on climate change and sustainability for the built and natural environments, as well as air and water policy.
